People have always said that rock ‘n roll was the devil’s music. So it’s about time we finally got ourselves a horror flick about a “rock band from hell”. The name of the band and the movie is NEOWOLF and after checking out its official website, I believe the theme is attempting to combine monsters and music. Not a bad idea. When an aspiring rock musician TONY returns to his college town to make up with his estranged girlfriend ROSEMARY, he finds his life taking an unexpected turn to the dark side when he encounters a mysterious rock band NEOWOLF led by rocker VINCE and the alluring band girl PAULA. When Rosemary’s best friend KEVIN turns up dead, Rosemary seeks out a Nursery owner MRS. BELAKOV who knows the secrets of an ancient evil.
So we’ve got mysterious rockers, an alluring band girl, and… Tiffany Shpeis! That’s right, the queen of all scream has a small role as a sexy groupie! She does come off as a hot rocker chick, so nice casting! The stars of the flick are Agim Kaba as VINCE, Michael Frascino as TONY, Heidi Johanningmeier as ROSEMARY, Ryan Ross as KEVIN, Veronica Cartwright as MRS. BELAKOV, and Megan Pepin (below) as the alluring PAULA who has a bit of lycan in her.
NEOWOLF was directed by Yvan Gauthier from a script by Alessandro De Gaetano and Michael January. The flick has been picked up by Quantum Releasing and is aiming for a February 2009 release. Rock on!
