The first HUMAN CENTIPEDE was more than enough but director Tom Six had to go ahead and make a sequel. We have known for a while that THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 3 (FINAL SEQUENCE) was on the way with Eric Roberts joining the cast. The film also features Bree Olsen, Robert Lasardo, and stars of the first two films Dieter Laser and Laurence R. Harvey. Six also confirms that the film will feature the 500 person centipede we have been hearing rumors of.

As to what THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FINAL SEQUENCE) will be about, Tom Six spoke with Entertainment Weekly and shared these details about the film.

“THC Part 3 will be totally different from Parts 1 and 2 and certainly not as gross, but it will be the most controversial one politically-wise. It will have a lot of self-mockery and will be the most darkly comical of the three. Parts 1 and 2 have a very European feel. Part 3 is very American with the highest budget, a big movie score, widescreen, and an XXL human centipede. It’s set in an American maximum security prison in the middle of the desert. Plot-wise I won’t share details yet but if you let your imagination run wild you might get ideas.”

Eric Roberts will play a politician in the film which Six claims is horrific, but not a horror film. I don’t know how you watch a movie like THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE without thinking that is made purely for shock value and Six’s comments about the third make it sound like more of the same. Six claims this may be the final film as he always planned for the movie to be a trilogy that can be watched end to end and connect like, well, you know.

THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FINAL SEQUENCE) has no release date but expect to see it sometime this year.
