Spring break. As if not being in Florida during that week was bad enough, my birthday always ends up being smack dab in the middle of the week, leaving me to occupy the bars all by my lonesome.
I’m kidding of course (I sit at home), but there’s no fooling around when it comes to Michael Hoffman’s SPRING BREAK MASSACRE, his first flick produced in sunny LA, which Hoffman wrote and directed. You may remember Hoffman’s SCARY TALES from a couple years back. In case you didn’t, you know now, right?
SPRING BREAK MASSACRE stars Reggie Bannister (who still owes Arrow a buttshot from PHANTASM) and Linnea Quigley (who’s given plenty of buttshots from RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD to NIGHT OF THE DEMONS), as well as Renee Darmiento, Bob Farster and Rick Federman. The story centres on a sleepover party during spring-break going to hell for six beautiful sorority co-eds. Stanley Peterson, a convicted serial killer, has escaped from a maximum security prison. It’s up to the college cuties to unravel the mystery of their assailant before the night is over.
Now, if this sounds a little like SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE, you wouldn’t be the first to think that, since that’s what Hoffman is going for. As an added bonus, we have the trailer for your viewing pleasure. Just be sure to have the latest version of Quicktime before trying to get it, plus it’ll take a little bit longer to download (5 minutes for you high-speed folk). SPRING BREAK MASSACRE is finishing up in Chicago at the moment, so keep your eyes peeled.
