Hopper is back in this teaser trailer for Stranger Things season 4!

Oh boy people! I just got a dispatch from Hawkins, Indiana and it's some great news. No there is not a new D & D convention on the horizon and no Winona Ryder has not joined Tinder you sick bastards. No guys I'm talking about a brand new teaser trailer from Netflix for Stranger Things season four! And spoiler alert – Hopper is back!

As followers of the stellar Netflix program well know, David Harbour's Jim Hopper seemingly died at the end of season three. He sacrificed himself when Joyce (Ryder) shut down the gate room, disintegrating everyone. However, as evidenced by the trailer above, it looks like Hopper did in fact survive, although he's a little worse for the wear.

It seems as if the old Hop has experienced a few changes since we last saw him. Gone is the sweet Tom Selleck mustache and the Hawaiian shirts. Instead he's supporting a heavy winter coat, a bald pate, and a sledge hammer. I don't think it is a stretch to say that Hopper is in a Russian gulag in Siberia. I mean that's pretty clear right?

Even though there's no sign of the illustrious Mike, Eleven, Dustin, Lucas, Will, or Max I couldn't care less. This is exactly the kind of thing a teaser trailer needs to be. This also appears to be further evidence that season four will take place outside of Hawkins, Indiana – perhaps even exclusively so. There's already been some indications that some of the show will take place in the United Kingdom as a previous teaser trailer showcased the chimes of Big Ben and the first episode of season four is titled "The Hellfire Club." The Hellfire Club has connections to Britain and Ireland and also refers to a singular group in the X-Men comicbooks.

Principal photography is ongoing and is expected to last through August but no word yet when season four of Stranger Things will debut.
