Steel Web Studios just started filming their new porno-meets-horror flick SLAUGHTER DISC, written and directed by David Quitmeyer.
The story is pretty twisted- about a guy who’s addicted to hardcore porn and receives a mysterious DVD in the mail. He pops it in and watches as a hot Goth chick (Caroline Pierce) does the dirty- and then gets slaughtered, along with a whole slew of other folks in the film.
Wow. If it sounds disturbing to you, you’re not the only one. “Most of the people who have read the script admitted that it freaked them out or gave them nightmares, then they turn around and tell me it’s one of the coolest things they’ve ever read—even people who hate porn,” says Quitmeyer. “I take that as a compliment, since this feature is first and foremost a serious horror film. I want it to scare the hell out of you.”
Just thinking about watching a video that’s full of hot sex, only to have it turn into a snuff film makes my skin crawl- yet, I’m definitely intrigued with the story, and it’s an aspect of horror that really hasn’t been touched much.
You won’t be able to catch this one in the theater, as it’s planned as a direct-to-DVD release- which is probably a good thing. Adding to the porno-watching-in-the-privacy-of-your-own-home angle the film.
The DVD will be an “Ultimate Director’s Cut…loaded with disturbing scenes of unrated gore and XXX hardcore sex, plus bonus features such as a ‘behind the scenes’ documentary, outtakes and a few surprises for those who are clever enough to find them.”
So if you have nothing better to do than get your kicks off this way, look for this in your local video store (behind the curtain, of course) once it’s released early 2005.
