Rowan Joffe, one of the writers of 28 WEEKS LATER and the director behind the Toronto Film Festival favorite BRIGHTON ROCK has already lined up his next flick, according to Variety. Flick is called BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP, and it’s based on a novel by first-timer Steve Watson. Ridley and Tony Scott will produce via their Scott Free banner.

The book is a psychological thriller about a woman who wakes up every morning with no clue who she is. The novel charts her attempts to make sense of her world.

Ummm… yeah that would suck. The book evidently sold to Harper Collins this past summer for a reported seven figures – not at all a bad payday for a newbie novelist, wouldn’t you say?

Principal photography is expected to begin mid-2011, with Joffe writing and directing (he also wrote the George Clooney flick THE AMERICAN). StudioCanal is executive producing alongside Scott Free. Once some casting goes down, we’ll let you know!
