Amazon’s anthology series Lore debuts this October and here is the teaser

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

The last time we talked about Amazon's upcoming horror anthology series LORE – based on the popular podcast by Aaron Mahnke – was to let you guys know that hottie Holland Roden was joining the cast.

Today we have news that the series is all set to premiere Friday, October 13th.

A Friday the 13th release date? I'll bite. Especially considering the series is only set to run 6-episodes for its first season. I can deal with that.

Lore will feature fan-favorite episodes from the podcast, including the tale of a boy given a doll that seems to have a sinister life of its own; a family whose home appears to be inhabited by a spirit from the other side; and a German village that hunts for a murderous creature.

LORE rundown:

Based on the popular podcast of the same name, which has an average of five million monthly listens, the anthology series presents the frightening and often disturbing tales based on real people and events that have led to our modern-day myths and legends.

Lore combines documentary footage, narration, historical mixed media and cinematic scenes to bring to life terrifying, but true stories. Celebrating the origins of the horror genre, Lore explores the real-life tales behind pop culture’s most legendary horror myths, such as vampires, changelings, werewolves, séances and possessed dolls.

On top of Roden, the series stars Robert Patrick, Adam Goldberg, Kristin Bauer, Holland Roden, Colm Feore and Campbell Scott, and comes our way via Executive Producers Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Gale Anne Hurd, Brett-Patrick Jenkins, Glen Morgan, Jon Halperin and Mark Mannucci.

Again, all 6 episodes of LORE premiere on Amazon Prime Video Friday, October 13th.
