More casting news has come in for Blumhouse and director Kevin Greutert's VISIONS, which we last reported on back in November of last year when Isla Fisher and "The Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons were in talks to join the production. Now Deadline is reporting that "Hell on Wheels" star Anson Mount has been cast opposite Fisher, with "Community" actress Gillian Jacobs also signing on for the microbudgeted thriller.
The story revolves around expectant mother Julia (Fisher), who is plagued by strange and terrifying visions of a sinister hooded figure only she can see when she and her husband (Mount) move to the countryside. To protect her unborn child, she sets out to uncover the truth about what is haunting her as her husband becomes increasingly concerned for her well-being.
Jacobs will be playing a young woman who befriends Julia.
Kevin Gruetert, who helmed SAW 3D, will be directing from a script from Lucas Sussman (BELOW).
