Best Worst Movie director Michael Stevenson lines up homemade haunted house doc

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Michael Paul Stevenson, best known as young Joshua in TROLL 2, as well as the director of the wonderful TROLL 2-related documentary BEST WORST MOVIE, has settled on his next project, and it sounds right up our spooky alley: A documentary about people who turn their homes into haunted houses for Halloween. Already sounds like a blast, and guess what? You can be in it! (Provided you do that sort of thing, of course.)

The official synopsis:
October 31 has been the target for mischief, monsters and – above all – FUN. This dedication to Halloween mayhem isn’t just carried out by costumed children and prank-crazed teens. The feature documentary will provide a fun and intimate look into the lives of devoted adults who go to fantastic and frightening lengths to create the ultimate homemade haunted house.

Magic Stone Productions is searching for passionate Halloween die-hards who live to scare through creating amateur haunts and would like to share their creations with the world. Casting and submission information can be found by visiting http://www.homemadehaunt.com..

The plan is to release the doc on an NBCUniversal cable network at some point next year (dare I guess October?). The untitled project is being produced by Meyer Shwarzstein of Brainstorm Media alongside Michael Stephenson and Lindsay Stephenson under their Magic Stone Productions banner.

Obviously you’ll have to act fast, because we’re already frightfully close to September. Let us know in the comment section below if you plan on participating – or if you just want to share a story about making your home into a cathedral of cobwebs and candy!
