Blumhouse will make Get Out 2 if Jordan Peele returns

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

One of the best horror movies of the past decade is (debatably) Blumhouse and writer-director Jordan Peele's Oscar-winning horror-thriller GET OUT starring Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford, Caleb Landry Jones, Stephen Root, and Catherine Keener. But are there any plans for a sequel?

We've heard in the past that Peele is "definitely, seriously" considering GET OUT 2, with the director telling THR back in February:

I will definitely, seriously consider it. I love that universe and I feel like there is more story to tell. I don't know what it is now, but there are some loose ends.

But what does Hollywood horror producer supreme Jason Blum of Blumhouse think of a sequel to GET OUT? Well, it seems that he's all for it… as long as Jordan Peele returns as writer-director.

Jason Blum:

If Jordan wants to do a sequel, I’ll do it in a second, but it has to come from Jordan Peele. I think he’s flirting with the idea.

I don't know about you, but I'd be excited as hell for another entry in Jordan Peele's horror-thriller series. How about you? Let us know below! GET OUT is written & directed by Jordan Peele and produced by Jason Blum and begins when:

Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams), have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy and Dean. At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could never have imagined.

The horror film stars Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford, Caleb Landry Jones, Stephen Root, and Catherine Keener. Buy the film on Blu-ray HERE.
