Tom Hiddleston and King Kong will have to fight over Brie Larson in KONG: SKULL ISLAND, as the adorable actress has just been cast in the adventure, reports Deadline. No word on what her role might be.

Meanwhile, the trade reports production company Legendary Pictures is looking at Russell Crowe to replace J.K. Simmons, who departed the project earlier this month along with Michael Keaton due to scheduling conflicts.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts (KINGS OF SUMMER) is directing KONG: SKULL ISLAND, which has March 10, 2017 release date. (It was originally scheduled to come out November 2016 but was pushed back.) Tony Gilroy, John Gatins and Max Borenstein penned the screenplay.

ong: Skull Island will fully immerse audiences in the mysterious and dangerous home of the iconic ape as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the treacherous, primordial island
