Bruce Campbell volunteers to be new Superman

I've said it before and I'll say it again, EVIL DEAD 2 and BUBBA HO-TEP's Bruce Campbell is basically the Superman of the horror genre. And so it makes more than a bit of sense that the man, the myth, and the legend is up for taking on the role of Clark Kent / SUPERMAN. Albeit in "geezer" form.

Campbell tweets:

Now I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but I'm pretty sure Campbell is just kidding here, right? I mean with all the goddamn Supermen in the world taking up roles in that CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS deal over on The CW maybe it's not such a stretch to see Campbell one day take to the screen (and the sky!) as an aged Clark Kent / Superman. And that sounds like just about the best version of the Man of Steel were gonna get.

What do you think? How badly do you want to see Bruce "The Chin" Campbell take on the role of Superman? Let us know below!

Most recently Campbell hosted and executive produced Travel Channel’s reboot of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! back in June. And the last time we saw Superman on the big screen was in director Zack Snyder (and Joss Whedon's) JUSTICE LEAGUE, which featured Henry Cavill as Kal-El / Clark Kent / Superman along with Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry / Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone / Cyborg, and J. K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon.
