Daniel Zovatto of It Follows joins Fear the Walking Dead

I have seen actor Daniel Zovatto in two horror movies, and in both I found that he had a very unique and appealing screen presence. The more popular of the two is IT FOLLOWS, but the first time I saw Zovatto was in Larry Fessenden's killer fish movie BENEATH.

The next genre feature Zovatto is set to appear in is the Fede Alvarez-directed, Sam Raimi-produced A MAN IN THE DARK, but before he reaches the big screen in that, millions of people will be watching him on their television screens. Zovatto has joined the cast of AMC's Fear the Walking Dead, taking on an unspecified role that will be a recurring one in the upcoming second season.

“Fear the Walking Dead” is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family. Set in Los Angeles, a city where people come to escape, shield secrets, and bury their pasts, a mysterious outbreak threatens to disrupt what little stability high school guidance counselor Madison Clark and English teacher Travis Manawa have managed to assemble.

Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Lorenzo James Henrie, Ruben Blades, Mercedes Mason, and Colman Domingo round out the cast.

Season two of Fear the Walking Dead starts airing on AMC on April 10th, one week after The Walking Dead's season six finale.
