Director shares never-before-seen still from Behind the Mask deleted scene

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Like many of the rest of you guys out there, one of my favorite horror-comedies of the past decade – screw that – all time is BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON.

If you love the film as dearly as I do then you are probably aware that the film originally sported a subplot revolving around the surviving members of the documentary crew standing trial for the participation in Leslie Vernon’s schemes.

Up until this point in time, the court sequences were merely horror myth and legend. But today director Scott Glosserman share an all-new, never-before-seen stills from the sequence over on Facebook.

Scott Glosserman on the deleted scene:

Yes, in response to recent inquiries, there was an ill-fated courtroom scene. Here’s proof in a never-before-seen production still, shot 11/28/04 – seems like yesterday…

You can check out the still below and make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on social media!

BEHIND THE MASK synopsis:

Nice, normal-looking Leslie Vernon (Nathan Baesel) has an obsession with movie-style slashers like Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger. Leslie decides to follow in the footsteps of his heroes, and, ever the self-promoter, invites a documentary filmmaker (Angela Goethals) and her crew to follow him around as he constructs his own grisly legacy.

Scream Factory’s BEHIND THE MASK Collector’s Edition Blu-ray hits March 27, 2018!
