Eli Roth & Jack Black join forces for new Amblin horror movie

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

It was only a week ago that we hit you guys with the news that Eli Roth and Bruce Willis' DEATH WISH remake was getting a release on November 22nd of this year. And today we have news about Roth's next flick and it sounds like a blast to me!

Turns out Roth will be joining forces with Jack Black – who I'm back to being a fan of after his turn as R.L. Stine in GOOSEBUMPS – for the Amblin horror film THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS. The film is based on the first part of the 12-book series by John Bellairs originally published in 1973.

The script for the adaptation has already been written by Eric Kripke (creator of Supernatural) and production is set to hopefully kick off this fall. Here's hoping that the film is more in the realm of kid-horror as I'm getting that feeling and seeing Eli Roth tackle kid-horror sounds like an awesome idea.

THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS synopsis:

A recently orphaned 10-year-old boy discovers a world of hidden passageways, magic and danger in his uncle’s old house.

What do you think of this team-up? Let us know what you think of the upcoming film – or if you've read the series on which it's based – on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

Eli Roth's DEATH WISH remake hits November 22nd.
