Eli Roth’s Death Wish unleashes a NSFW grindhouse trailer

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

No strangers to the “grindhouse” are Eli Roth and Bruce Willis. Roth, of course, directed the trailer for fake slasher THANKSGIVING and had a cameo in Quentin Tarantino’s DEATH PROOF, while Willis had a supporting role in Robert Rodriguez’s PLANET TERROR, both movies part of the double-feature known as GRINDHOUSE. Seems perfectly fitting that the two should work together on DEATH WISH, an update of a gritty piece of 70s cult cinema.

Today we have a very grindhouse-y trailer for the remake, which you’ll find below. The trailer can be considered slightly NSFW, so cover your co-worker’s eyes when the car falls on the guy and splatters his brains everywhere.

DEATH WISH’s synopsis:

Dr. Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) is a surgeon who only sees the aftermath of his city’s violence as it’s rushed into his ER – until his wife (Elisabeth Shue) and college-age daughter (Camila Morrone) are viciously attacked in their suburban home. With the police overloaded with crimes, Paul, burning for revenge, hunts for his family’s assailants to deliver justice. As the anonymous slayings of criminals grabs the media’s attention, the city wonders if this deadly avenger is a guardian angel…or a grim reaper.

DEATH WISH stars Bruce Willis, Vincent D’Onofrio, Elisabeth Shue, Camila Morrone, Dean Norris, Sway Calloway, and Kimberly Elise. It hits theaters March 2nd.
