Exclusive: First poster for Better Watch Out starring Olivia DeJonge

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

BETTER WATCH OUT is a film sure to turn some heads this holiday season. A pitch dark horror-comedy that is almost literally indescribable (for fear of spoiling its surprises), it very well could end up being a love-it or hate-it proposition for many. And those who love it will really love it, and those who hate it might really hate it.

I saw it last year and quite dug it, but really need to take another look at it before it comes out in a couple of months. In the meantime, I have an early holiday treat to whet your appetite: an exclusive poster! Naturally, it will not show you too much, as is typical for this title, but at least it’s a little something to keep your interest levels high.

Directed by Chris Peckover and written by Zack Kahn and Peckover from a story by Kahn, BETTER WATCH OUT (formerly known as SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD) stars…

Olivia DeJonge (THE VISIT) as a babysitter who, one snowy night on a quiet suburban street, must defend her twelve-year-old charge (Levi Miller, PAN) from intruders… but quickly learns that this is one extraordinary home invasion that demands an equally extraordinary response.

Co-starring Virginia Madsen, Patrick Warburton, Ed Oxenbould, Aleks Mikic and Dacre Montgomery, BETTER WATCH OUT will open in theaters and on VOD in the US on October 6th and will hit UK cinemas on December 8th. It also plays the Fantasia Film Festival this coming week in Montreal!
