Sunday night, AMC announced that Lennie James's The Walking Dead character Morgan Jones would be the appearing in the fourth season of The Walking Dead's companion / prequel series Fear the Walking Dead. James had to report for work on the Fear set the very next morning, yesterday morning, and as he made his way around the set, sat in on a table reading with the stars of Fear, and met with showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg (who are taking over for Dave Erickson, showrunner of Fear's first three seasons), cameras were there to document this momentous occasion. Walking Dead worlds are colliding!

Entering the world of Fear, James joins a cast that includes returning stars Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Frank Dillane, Ruben Blades, and Colman Domingo, as well as fellow new additions Ray McKinnon (who made his Fear debut in the final episodes of season 3), Garret Dillahunt, and Jenna Elfman.

Set years earlier than where The Walking Dead's storyline is currently, Fear the Walking Dead is

a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family.

James had this to say about the crossover:

To take Morgan into this new realm and landscape, to see who he could now be, to see where his story could go in the world of Fear the Walking Dead is wonderfully exciting and I am really looking forward to the challenge."

Chambliss and Goldberg added:

As longtime fans of Lennie James and his portrayal of Morgan Jones, we are thrilled to have him join the cast of Fear the Walking Dead. We look forward to working with Lennie to continue the journey Morgan began on The Walking Dead."

Check out the video below to get a glimpse of Morgan's first day on set.

Fear the Walking Dead season 4 will reach AMC airwaves sometime next year.
