It’s hammertime for Josh Brolin in new Oldboy still

Arguably the most famous scene in Park Chan-wook’s OLDBOY is the one where the lead character takes on a horde of bad guys with nothing but a hammer and a will to live. Unsurprisingly, Spike Lee has kept the sequence in the remake of the film, although it remains to be seen if it’s as well orchestrated. (Will be no easy feat.) In a new still from the film released by Entertainment Weekly, we get a glimpse of Josh Brolin wielding the hammer and ready to go into battle. Dude sure does look pissed, I’d stay out of his way.

ldboy is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.

OLDBOY opens on November 27th.
