Lena Dunham joins American Horror Story

Lena Dunham is joining AMERICAN HORROR STORY.

Now, Lena Dunham is a name many of you might not know – unless you have a wife/girlfriend. That said, Dunham is the creative force and star of the HBO series GIRLS – which co-stars my favorite "scream queen" this year, Allison Williams (GET OUT).

I've tried to watch the series and couldn't get into it. But that's not the point. The point is, Dunham was in that series and more horror-related she was the coffee shop chick in Ti West THE INNKEEPERS.

GIRLS just ended its run on HBO and now Dunham will be joining up with the Ryan Murphy crew for some horror stories, American-style. Murphy broke the news over Twitter by posting the following:

So, yeah. This is a thing that is happening. I have nothing against Dunham and the world outside of horror seems to think she's pretty great so maybe it's time she showed us genre guys and gals what she can do.

The newest UNTITLED season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY is now in production and is set to premiere later this year on FX. AHS:??? stars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Alison Pill, Colton Haynes and Adina Porter.
