M. Night Shyamalan & Marti Noxon team with Syfy for supernatural series “Proof”

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

It’s no secret that M. Night Shyamalan needs to revive his career – bad! Hard to believe he even still has one after THE HAPPENING. But what better way to come back from something like that than to try something completely new? That’s exactly what Shyamalan is doing.

According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed blog the filmmaker will be entering scripted television territory for the first time in his career. He’ll team with genre scribe Marti Noxon for a supernatural series called “Proof,” which will eventually hit the Syfy Channel. Plans are for Shyamalan to direct the Universal Cable Productions project.

Proof centers on the son of a billionaire tech genius who, following an accident that claims his parents’ lives, offers a large reward for anyone who can find proof of life after death.

Shyamalan (right) and Noxon will co-write the project and will both serve as executive producers alongside Ashwin Rajan of Shyamalan’s Blinding Edge banner.

So what do you guys think? You willing to give Shyamalan another shot? “Proof” sounding solid to you? Spit some bullets below and let us know how you’re jiving with all this as we wait for more updates on this little diddy to roll our way.
