If you thought Shane Black's upcoming THE PREDATOR couldn't get more interesting, you were dead wrong. The cast already includes Boyd Holbrook and Olivia Munn, but they've just brought in a big gun (quite literally). The enormously muscular Trevante Rhodes, the breakout star of this year's Oscar contender MOONLIGHT, has joined the ensemble as an as-yet unidentified character.
Rhodes is a tremendous talent, and MOONLIGHT was only his fourth feature film role (including an uncredited stint in the Elijah Wood cyber thriller OPEN WINDOWS), so I can't wait to see how he blossoms here. He's certainly having quite a year.
Cinematographer Larry Fong will be lensing THE PREDATOR, which Black co-wrote with Fred Dekker. Production is slated to begin this Winter. The film is scheduled for release on February 9, 2018.
