New From Dusk Till Dawn season 2 images come to light

Season two of FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES is set to start airing on Robert Rodriguez's El Rey Network on August 25th, and with that air date drawing close a handful of new images from the show have been released to help build anticipation.

The pictures contain guns, stakes, and bloody-mouthed vampires, which are all good to see, and are the types of things you expect to see in FROM DUSK TILL DAWN publicity materials. But there's also a very intriguing shot of Esai Morales, a new cast member for the new season, wearing a trenchcoat made of human faces. In the world of this series, you can almost bet that those are the real faces of people he has done horrible things to. His fashion sense has me very interested in finding out exactly who or what Morales's Lord Amancio Malvado character is.

The cast around Morales includes D.J. Cotrona, Zane Holtz, Jesse Garcia, Eiza González, Wilmer Valderrama, Madison Davenport, Brandon Soo Hoo, Jake Busey, Danny Trejo, Jeff Fahey, Briana Evigan, and Demi Lovato.

While the first season of the series was an expansion on the events of the 1996 film, season two's story is all new:

The show travels between Mexico and the edgy, tricked-out Texas of Robert Rodriguez. It also deepens and complicates the core relationships among the characters while adding new faces and new dynamics. Our characters are all living in very separate worlds: Santánico and Richie are outside Houston, doing their best Bonnie and Clyde; Seth and Kate are scraping by South of the Border; and Freddie Gonzalez is protecting his wife and young daughter in the suburbs. Carlos Madrigal and Scott Fuller emerge from the Titty Twister changed men. They will all come together once again – this time facing off against an even bigger threat.

The season's ten episodes are being directed by Robert Rodriguez, THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT's Eduardo Sanchez, HALLOWEEN 4's Dwight Little, Alejandro Brugués, Joe Menendez, and showrunner Carlos Coto.
