Coming at us in October from Sony’s Screen Gems is CARRIE, starring Chloe Moretz and Julianne Moore. While expectations are fairly low for this retelling of Stephen King’s classic story, I still think the casting is as good as one could hope for. Chloe Moretz is most likely the “next big thing”, and Julianne Moore, well, she’s proven her chops plenty of times already. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Two new images from the film have arrived, showing off Carrie with a bit of red on her, as well as Carrie and her deranged momma, who looks a tad upset. You don’t want to be around when either of them are upset, lemme tell you…

A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.

Directed by Kimberly Peirce, CARRIE opens on October 18th.
