David Twohy’s new Chronicles of Riddick flick is shut down in Montreal.

The next CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK flick (directed by David Towhy) was shut down (temporarily am sure) last Wednesday. Why? Well Michel Trudel, the owner of the Montreal based MEL’S STUDIOS (where the movie is being shot) kicked everyone off the set. It seems the production company, One Race Films (which Vin Diesel owns) has failed to pay the Studio and the crew on time. On his end, Trudel is confident that the situation will be resolved soon and he’ll let production continue as soon as he gets his dough.

CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK stars Vin Diesel and Karl Urban and here’s what it’s about: Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Vin Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.

Hope this gets solved soon! I want more Riddick dammit!
