Ogle Friday the 13th: The Game’s version of Part III Jason

Last Updated on November 17, 2025

The progress of the upcoming Friday the 13th: The Game is something we're following very closely here, and the latest update may be my favorite thing that I've seen from it yet. The game's developers had a panel at this past weekend's PAX South gaming convention, and during the panel they revealed some absolutely beautiful images of one of the versions of iconic slasher Jason Voorhees that players will be able to control and/or fight against.

These images show the Jason of FRIDAY THE 13TH PART III as he'll appear in Friday the 13th: The Game.

Brought to the screen by the late Richard Brooker, the Jason Voorhees of FRIDAY THE 13TH PART III is my favorite iteration of the character in the entire franchise. For me, the Jason of that film is the perfect Jason, in both performance and appearance. So it's great to see that version of him so impressively recreated for the game.

Kane Hodder, who played Jason in the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th films, did the motion capture performance for the game's Jason.

Friday the 13th: The Game is expected to be released this October, and if you haven't secured a copy yet you can pre-order it at F13Game.com.
