I think everybody knows by now that the "final chapter" of a horror film franchise is more or less a guarantee that there will be more sequels. Such is the case with RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER, coming to theaters on January 17, 2017.
Although so far the film is still the finale of that particular continuity, the franchise will be born again with RESIDENT EVIL: VENDETTA, a CGI animated film from Marza Animation Planet, the third in their RESIDENT EVIL animated series that began back in 2008.
