Sam Neill’s Dr. Grant may not be visiting Jurassic World

It looks as if JURASSIC WORLD will be opening, even without the approval of Dr. Alan Grant, Sam Neill's fan-favorite character from JURASSIC PARK and JURASSIC PARK III. During a recent interview with the Examiner Neill, who has stated multiple times that he'd love to return for the upcoming sequel, was asked about a potential return to the series. His answer…

"Look, you never say no. I think there’s a whole new cast and a whole new look at things, and I think that’s great. As I said, I’d never say no, but I wish them… well, I’m sure it’s going to be great, but they don’t need me."

C'mon, Universal…we wanna see more of Dr. Grant! Neill is a fantastic actor and I'm sure there's a way to squeeze in an appearance from him in JURASSIC WORLD.

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, and Nick Robinson are in various stages of talks to star. Colin Trevorrow (SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED) penned the script with Derek Connolly and will direct the film. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it is known that Robinson would play Simpkins’ older brother.

Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and Pat Crowley will produce Jurassic World, which is set to begin filming in early 2014. The dinosaurs will hit theaters June 12, 2015.
