Stallone happy to return as Rambo if Last Blood is a hit

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

This September we will finally see the return of Sylvester Stallone as John Rambo in director Adrian Grunberg's RAMBO: LAST BLOOD. But will this really be the final RAMBO movie we see hit the big screen in the franchise? Not if Stallone has anything to say about it. The actor was recently out and about talking up the new film and let us all know that if it works, he'll just keep going.

Specifically, Stallone said this about a possible RAMBO 6:

Let me just say something about the "last" of anything. I thought Rocky 3 was the last, you know. So I don't know anything. If it works I'll just keep going, you know, because I enjoy it so much.

The quote comes from a video of Stallone being interviewed at the recent Canne Film Festival. The exact quote takes place a whopping 1:11:00 minutes in. The whole interview is entertaining so you can check it out for yourself right over HERE

RAMBO: LAST BLOOD sees:

Vietnam vet John Rambo take on the Mexican drug cartels after the daughter of one of his friends is kidnapped.

Avi Lerner’s Millennium is behind the film, which is directed by Adrian Grunberg (GET THE GRINGO) from a screenplay by Matthew Cirulnick (PAID IN FULL). Kevin King Templeton and Les Weldon are producing, with Lerner, Trevor Short, and Boaz Davidson exec producing. Stallone's costars include Paz Vega as "Carmen Delgado, a reporter who covers the Mexican drug trade and teams up with Rambo after her younger half-sister is kidnapped," and Yvette Monreal is taking on the role of the younger half-sister in question. It will hit theaters in wide release via Lionsgate on September 20, 2019.
