Director Pablo Larraín is continuing to assemble the cast for his upcoming eight hour limited series adaptation of the Stephen King novel Lisey's Story (which you can pick up a copy of HERE). It has previously been announced that Julianne Moore will be playing Lisey herself, and now we've learned that Sung Kang, best known for playing the role of Han in several installments of the FAST & FURIOUS franchise, has joined the cast.

Kang will be playing Officer Dan Beckman, "a police officer assigned to watch Lisey's house".

Also in the cast are Clive Owen as Lisey's author husband Scott, Joan Allen as Lisey's sister Amanda, and Dane DeHaan as Jim Dooley, "a huge fan of Scott's books who feels strongly about his unpublished work being released to the world."

King's novel had the following description:

Lisey lost her husband Scott two years ago, after a twenty-five year marriage of profound and sometimes frightening intimacy. Scott was an award-winning, bestselling novelist and a very complicated man. Early in their relationship, before they married, Lisey knew there was a place Scott went — a place that both terrified and healed him, could eat him alive or give him the ideas he needed in order to live. Now it’s Lisey’s turn to face Scott’s demons, to go to that terrifying place known as Boo’ya Moon. What begins as a widow’s effort to sort through the papers of her celebrated husband becomes a nearly fatal journey into the darkness he inhabited.

King has written the script for the limited series and is also executive producing it with Moore and Bad Robot's J.J. Abrams and Ben Stephenson.

Lisey's Story is being made for the Apple TV Plus streaming service, which just launched on November 1st.

Kang's presence was one of my favorite things about the FAST & FURIOUS movies he was in, so I'm glad to hear he'll be venturing into King territory for Lisey's Story.
