Supernatural spin-off Wayward Sisters announced

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

I've mentioned this before – back when we posted about the upcoming Scooby-Doo/Supernatural crossover episode – that I don't watch SUPERNATURAL. I've tried, but it's never stuck with me. That said, I can see the appeal of the series so no harm, no foul.

All the same, I know there are more than a handful of SUPERNATURAL fans out there so it is with that in mind that I share today's news that the series is getting a spin-off called WAYWARD SISTERS

This spin-off is said to star Kim Rhodes aka Sheriff Jody Mills, who has appeared in 12 episodes of Supernatural with her character first introduced in Season 5. The new spin-off is the result of fan effort that started two years ago.

While there is no word on the cast other than Rhodes it is said other characters from SUPERNATURAL will carry over to the new series. The project will have a backdoor pilot airing as an episode of Supernatural‘s upcoming 13th season.

Again, I don't know who any of these people are that the article goes on to name as possible characters in the spin-off, so if you're a fan and know what any of this means, then you can check out the entire article right over HERE. After that make sure to let us know what you think of SUPERNATURAL and this new spin-off WAYWARD SISTERS on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

WAYWARD SISTERS synopsis:

The spin-off follows Sheriff Jody Mills (Rhodes) and a group of troubled young women, all of them orphaned by supernatural tragedy. Under Mills’ training and protection, the women will emerge as a supreme monster-fighting force. Unlike the original series, which centers on a biological brothers, Wayward Sisters is about a sisterhood of girls in a foster family.

WAYWARD SISTERS comes to us from Supernatural writers-producers, showrunners Andrew Dabb, Robert Singer, Phil Sgriccia, and Robert Berens.
