The Batman tested positive for Covid-19 on the set of The Batman!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So, to the surprise of almost no one, Vanity Fair reports that someone on the set of Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN has tested positive for Coronavirus, later being confirmed to be the star (and "The Batman" himself) Robert Pattinson.

Here's the official statement from Warner Bros. (though not once revealing it was the star who contracted it):

A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.

So production is temporarily halted once more, though it's unlikely to be for long (until it's probably shut down again).

Meanwhile, THE BATMAN – also starring Jeffrey Wright, Zoe Kravitz, Colin Farrell, and Paul Dano as The Riddler – is expected to still hit theaters October 1st, 2021…but we'll keep you updated if that changes.

So what do you guys think? Still excited for yet another dark-'n-gritty Batman movie? Either way, sound off below!
