One day it is was Joel Courntey. The next day it was Natalia Dyer. Now it’s Peter Bogdanovich. Which of the three seems out of place to you?

THR has it that Bogdanovich (seen right), film writer, director, actor and historian – has joined the cast of THE HEALER, Giordio Serafini’s teen-centric supernatural thriller. Word is Pete will be playing a mysterious character inspired by Charon, the ferryman in Greek mythology who carries souls across the River Styx.

Now, if you don’t know who Bogdanovich is, look him up ASAP. Dude has a vast history in film, directing his first feature over 40 years ago with the Boris Karloff film TARGETS. He then directed the acclaimed THE LAST PICTURE SHOW three years later.

Also featuring James LeGros, Greg Lee and LaDon Drummond – THE HEALER follows teenage twins (Courtney and Isabelle Fuhrman) who embark on a camping trip with their father that turns into a perilous adventure as they become lost in a haunted forest.
