SUPER 8‘s breakout star Joel Courtney is going from marauding aliens to woodland specters in THE HEALER, which is also set to feature Isabelle Fuhrman (ORPHAN, THE HUNGER GAMES) and James LeGros (BITTER FEAST).
THE HEALER tells of teenage twins who embark on a camping trip with their father that turns into a perilous adventure as they become lost in a haunted forest.
Giorgio Serafini (the direct-to-DVD Wesley Snipes flick GAME OF DEATH) is directing, based on his own screenplay. Rome-based Smile Productions is producing, while shooting will take place in North Carolina this month.
Chances are THE HEALER will be a presence at the upcoming American Film Market, so keep your eyes peeled for distribution news.
