This clip explores the history of The Boy’s resident creepy doll Brahms

In this new promo clip from THE BOY, we explore a little more about the backstory of Brahms, the porcelain nightmare at the center of the film. There's not a ton of new info here in this short video, but it does get me thinking. The plot to this film seems pretty straightforward. Could there be something hiding in the third act, waiting to spring a huge surprise on us? Or is it just a tried and true killer doll movie, à la CHILD'S PLAY? We have less than a month until we find out. In the meantime, check out the video below!

Greta is a young American woman who takes a job as a nanny in a remote English village, only to discover that the family's 8-year-old is a life-sized doll that the parents care for just like a real boy, as a way to cope with the death of their actual son 20 years prior. After violating a list of strict rules, a series of disturbing and inexplicable events bring Greta's worst nightmare to life, leading her to believe that the doll is actually alive.

Care for THE BOY, starring Lauren Cohan, Rupert Evans, Jim Norton, Diana Hardcastle, Ben Robson, and James Russell, nationwide on January 22, 2016.
