Trailer: Dee Wallace battles killer dolls in… Dolls!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

As if we needed any more killer dolls scaring the hell out of us this summer with CHILD'S PLAY and ANNABELLE COMES HOME headed our way, today we have the trailer and DVD cover art for DOLLS (no, not Stuart Gordon’s 1987 DOLLS) starring Dee Wallace. The film will be unleashed this July via Uncork’d Entertainment. No special features are listed but you can check out the trailer and DVD cover art below.

This version of DOLLS was written by Justin Hawkins and Josh Hawkins and tells the tale of

A struggling children’s book author and his rebellious teenage daughter who move into a house they’ve inherited and find mysterious dolls in the attic. They soon learn that the dolls have a sinister – and deadly – past.

Wallace's character is a neighbor who "knows about the dolls and their ties to the house." Back in December, when we shared your first look at this flick, producer Jeff Miller (THE TOYBOX, THE RUSSIAN BRIDE) had this to say about the casting of Wallace:

It's my second film in just over a year with Dee, and she truly is an American treasure. The work she did in the '80s continues to be seen as classics. I'm so glad we could bring her aboard my friend Cuyle Carvin's first feature.

The movie marks the feature directorial debut of Cuyle Carvin and is produced by Jeff Miller (THE TOYBOX, THE RUSSIAN BRIDE). Wallace's co-stars include Tom Downey, Trinity Simpson, Bret Green, Elise Muller, Melinda DeKay, and Robert R. Ryel. DOLLS will be released via Uncork’d Entertainment on DVD and VOD on July 2, 2020. Will you be giving this new killer doll flick a go? Let us know below!

SIDE NOTE: I'm pretty sure that's that evil elf from the ELF ON A SHELF movie hanging out in the background. Shared universe anyone?
