Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell promo recaps the previous Tremors films

The TREMORS franchise is one of my favorites, and I'm looking forward to the upcoming sixth film in the series, TREMORS: A COLD DAY IN HELL, with great anticipation. To help viewers to prepare for A COLD DAY IN HELL, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has now released a promo for the new film that recaps the events of the five previous ones. And who better to have recap those events than franchise hero Burt Gummer (Michael Gross)?

The only problem with the promo, which is embedded below, is that it's too short – I would gladly watch and listen to Burt go on about the events of the films for a lot longer than just 2 and a half minutes. And in a longer promo, Burt could have also thrown in some details about the short-lived SciFi Channel Tremors series.

Still, I'll take all the TREMORS and Burt I can get, and this recap promo is a fun one.

Directed by TREMORS 5: BLOODLINES' Don Michael Paul from a screenplay by TREMORS 5 and TREMORS 3: BACK TO PERFECTION writer John Whelpley, TREMORS: A COLD DAY IN HELL stars Michael Gross and Jamie Kennedy. The story: 

Burt Gummer (Gross) and his son Travis Welker (Kennedy) find themselves up to their ears in Graboids and Ass-Blasters when they head to Canada to investigate a series of deadly giant-worm attacks. Arriving at a remote research facility in the artic tundra, Burt begins to suspect that Graboids are secretly being weaponized, but before he can prove his theory, he is sidelined by Graboid venom. With just 48 hours to live, the only hope is to create an antidote from fresh venom — but to do that, someone will have to figure out how to milk a Graboid!   

Also in the cast are Tanya van Graan, Rob van Vuuren, Greg Kriek, and Keeno Lee Hector.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will be releasing TREMORS: A COLD DAY IN HELL on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD May 1st. You can pre-order a copy on Amazon.
