Virgil Films makes deal on Foreclosure, starring The Soprano’s Michael Imperioli

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Another reason we love the Toronto International Film Festival is that we learn a bit more about films that usually fly right under our rader, especially when said films garner a distro deal during the Fest. Now Screen Daily is reporting that Virgil Film has picked up the U.S. rights to Richard Ledes' FORECLOSURE, a horror movie starring "The Soprano's" Michael Imperioli, with plans for a theatrical and VoD release in the first quarter of 2014. Nice!

Foreclosure is set against the fall-out from the financial crisis as a man and his son and father-in-law travel through a landscape of vacant properties in Queens, New York, to the house of a recently deceased relative.

At the house they discover a disturbing photograph in the basement that kicks off a horrifying series of events.

Spencer List, Bill Raymond, Wendell Peirce, Meital Dohan, Matt Servitto and David Costabile also star.

Virgil Films president Joseph Amodei brokered the deal with Josh Braun of Submarine Entertainment. Says Amodei of the film…

“Richard Ledes has created a compelling drama that also happens to be a shocking horror film.”

Sounds good to us! We'll keep ya posted on news regarding FORECLOSURE, as well as other exciting news out of TIFF 2013, as it rolls in.
