Bong Joon Ho, Parasite, Hulu

In what is assuredly a slick move, Hulu has exclusively contracted the U.S. streaming rights for director Bong Joon Ho's history-making South Korean thriller PARASITE. In accordance with the deal, PARASITE will be made available to Hulu subscribers beginning on Wednesday, April 8th.

Bong's social thriller recently made history at the Academy Awards by becoming the first foreign-language film to win Best Picture. In addition to securing the top prize at the Oscars, PARASITE also won the awards for Best International Film, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay, which Bong wrote with Jin Won Han. Additional accolades include the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film, the SAG Award for Best Ensemble Cast and the Palme D’or, which is the top prize at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

The story of PARASITE explores the concepts of greed, deception, and class discrimination as a mysterious family of interlopers threaten a newly formed symbiotic relationship between the wealthy Park family and the destitute Kim clan. Making up the film's ensemble cast are Song Kang Ho, Lee Sun Kyun, Cho Yeo Jeong, Choi Woo Shik, Park So Dam, Chang Hyae Jin, and Lee Jung Eun.

If you're a Hulu subscriber, and have yet to experience Bong Joon Ho's PARASITE, I highly recommend that you give it a watch when it arrives exclusively on the service on Wedenesday, April 8th.
