D.J. Caruso’s I AM NUMBER FOUR is casting like a motherf*cker. Earlier today we brought you the news that cutie Dianna Agron has joined the sci-fi flick as the human love interest for escaped alien “Number 4”, played by Alex Pettyfer. Now Filmdrunk passes along the info that two more actors have joined: Kevin Durand and Callan McAuliffe.
Fans of “Lost” will immediately recognize Durand (pictured) as the killer mercenary Martin Keamy; he was also recently seen in LEGION. McAuliffe just wrapped the upcoming Rob Reiner-directed comedy FLIPPED. They play the leader of the villainous Mogadorians and Number 4’s best friend, respectively.
I AM NUMBER 4 which also stars Sharlto Copley and Teresa Palmer, is about nine alien teens who come to Earth after their planet is destroyed by an enemy species but soon discover that their enemy is now after them on Earth.
Chances are good that this is TWILIGHT with Aliens, but for now we’ll remain curious. Until we see that first nausea-inducing trailer or poster, of course.
