Nothing too exciting here – unless you can’t get enough Will “Aww Hell Naw” Smith. Ryan over at Shock Till You Drop scored a couple of pics from I AM LEGEND that confirms that yes, Smith’s Robert Neville will be looking out of his armor-plated mail slot. (Actually, fans of the Richard Matheson story probably realize that Smith is most likely reacting to the constant taunts of his night-dwelling foes.)
I sincerely hope this movie surprises the crap out of me and is both entertaining and faithful to the book. I have some very big doubts though – I really didn’t like director Francis Lawrence’s CONSTANTINE, and the last time Smith did a movie like this (with Warner Bros. and producer/writer Akiva Goldsman, no less) it was the dreadful I, ROBOT. Here’s hoping the material manages to rise above these goons.
