I Still Know What You Did Last Summer to get 25th anniversary 4K UHD release

Last year, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment celebrated the 25th anniversary of the 1997 slasher I Know What You Did Last Summer (watch it HERE) by giving the film a 4K UHD release that included newly unearthed deleted scenes and an alternate ending. This year, they’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of the sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (watch that one HERE) by giving it a 4K UHD release that will include a new director’s commentary! This 4K UHD release, which will also include Blu-ray and Digital copies, is set to reach store shelves on September 26th.

Directed by Danny Cannon from a screenplay by Trey Callaway, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer has the following synopsis: A year after killing vengeful hit-and-run victim Ben Wills, who gutted her friends with an iron hook, college student Julie James is still shaken by the experience. When her roommate, Karla, wins a vacation for four to the Bahamas, she plans to bring along her boyfriend Tyrell, attractive Will, and Julie. At the resort, Julie starts receiving threatening notes and realizes Ben is still alive.

I Know What You Did Last Summer stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr., and Muse Watson reprise their roles and are joined in the cast by Brandy, Mekhi Phifer, Matthew Settle, Jennifer Esposito, Bill Cobbs, Jeffrey Combs, Benjamin Brown, Ellerine Harding, John Hawkes, and Jack Black.

I was a big fan of I Know What You Did Last Summer when it was first released, and when I Still Know What You Did Last Summer followed a year later I found it to be a very worthy follow-up. So I’m glad to see that it’s getting the same sort of 4K UHD anniversary treatment that its predecessor did.
