I Trapped the Devil hits Blu-ray this August

IFC Midnight gave writer-director Josh Lobo's I TRAPPED THE DEVIL starring AJ Bowen, Scott Poythress, Susan Burke, Jocelin Donahue, and Chris Sullivan a theatrical and VOD release back in April and today we have word that Scream Factory, in conjunction with IFC Midnight will release The Twilight Zone-esque Christmas horror flick on Blu-ray and DVD this August.

Special features have not yet been announced, but you can check out the Blu-ray cover art and the trailer below. Meanwhile, here is the movie's plot:

Christmas is supposed to be a time for peace and joyful family reunions. But when Matt (AJ Bowen) and his wife Karen (Susan Burke) show up unannounced at the home of his estranged brother Steve (Scott Poythress) to celebrate the holidays, they are instead greeted with a horrifying surprise: trapped in Steve’s basement is a man … but not just any man: Steve believes that his hostage is none other than the devil himself. As shock and skepticism turn to fear and paranoia, Matt and Karen find themselves facing a terrifying quandary — is Steve dangerously unhinged? Or could the mysterious stranger really be the embodiment of evil incarnate? Either way, the stage is set for a true Christmas from hell in this provocative holiday horror.

Writer-director Josh Lobo's Twilight Zone-esque Christmas horror flick I TRAPPED THE DEVIL starring AJ Bowen, Scott Poythress, Susan Burke, Jocelin Donahue, and Chris Sullivan will be released on Blu-ray and DVD via Scream Factory, in conjunction with IFC Midnight on August 20, 2019.
