Deadline reports that Buffalo 8 is planning to give writer/director Kerry Bellessa’s Bermuda Triangle horror thriller Immanence a digital and VOD release on February 4th, and in anticipation of that release date a trailer for the film has arrived online. You can check it out in the embed above.

Bellessa wrote the screenplay for Immanence with Joshua Oram. The story they crafted together follows

a team of radio astronomers who discover a mysterious signal in the deep sea that could be the world’s first contact with extraterrestrials, while investigating a meteor strike in the Bermuda Triangle. After witnessing various impossible phenomena, the team becomes convinced that something is trying to communicate with them. Aboard their boat is Jonah, a loner with a mysterious past and cryptic motives. His faith leads him to suggest that this communication may be a manifestation of divinity, a hypothesis which the scientists immediately reject. Soon the communications go from inexplicable to terrifying, threatening not only the team’s beliefs, but also their lives. When chaos culminates in an ominous revelation that makes everyone a threat, the team must fight for both their sanity and survival.

The film stars Michael Beach (S.W.A.T.), Summer Bellessa (Funny Thing About Love), Eugene Byrd (Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid), Anthony Ruivivar (Starship Troopers), Kasia Pilewicz (America’s Next Top Model), Asenneth Del Toro (Sunny Daze), and Jamie Mcshane (Sons of Anarchy).

Kerry Bellessa and Summer Bellessa produced Immanence with Michael Beach.

I was surprised by just how good and interesting the Immanence trailer actually looks, especially for something that seemed to come out of nowhere so close to its release date, so I might have to check this movie out next month.
