TNT has dropped an official teaser trailer for I AM THE NIGHT, an upcoming original series that looks to expose the darkness lurking within the hearts of men. Based on true life events, the drama tells the gripping story of Fauna Hodel (India Eisley), a teenage girl who is given away at birth, and grows up outside of Reno, Nevada. Fauna lives more-or-less comfortably with the mysteries of her origin, until one day she makes a discovery that leads her to question everything. As Fauna begins to investigate the secrets of her past, she meets a ruined reporter (Chris Pine), haunted by the case that undid him. Together they follow a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Los Angeles gynecologist, Dr. George Hodel (Jefferson Mays), a man involved in some of Hollywood's darkest debauchery, and possibly, its most infamous unsolved crime.

In the new teaser, we witness Eisley's (KITE, UNDERWORLD: AWAKENING) Fauna Hodel venturing deeper into the rabbit hole of her mysterious past. Along her journey, she meets a series of shifty individuals who only serve make her investigation more difficult. Starring alongside Eisley for the stylish six-episode limited series are Chris Pine (WONDER WOMAN, STAR TREK), Jefferson Mays (KINSEY, INHERENT VICE), Dylan Smith (INTO THE BADLANDS, LEMONADE), Shoniqua Shandai (BODIED), Golden Brooks (GIRLFRIENDS, BEAUTY SHOP), Jay Paulson (ELECTRIC DREAMS, MAD MEN) and Justin Cromwell (CHI-RAQ), among others.

Scheduled for a January 2019 debut, I AM THE NIGHT continues the trend of welcoming Hollywood royalty onto the small screen for a bit of mystery, intrigue, and the exploration of human indecency. Buckle up, Chris Pine, you're not in Themyscira anymore.
