Fast & Furious franchise star Elsa Pataky is about to put some hurt on a group of terrorists looking to take control of weapons of mass destruction. Have these terrorists seen Fast FiveFast & Furious 6, and Furious 7? If they did, they would know that going up against a member of Dominic Torreto’s extended family is ill-advised, even if it’s in a different movie. Prepare for Netflix’s Interceptor trailer, a promo that is likely to take you back to when action movies were cheesy and straightforward in an endearing way.

Here’s the official synopsis for Interceptor:

The tough and reality-bruised Captain JJ Collins (Elsa Pataky) finds herself in charge of a lone nuclear missile interceptor base in the middle of the Pacific Ocean after she is wrongfully drummed out of her dream job at the Pentagon. When a simultaneous coordinated attack threatens the base itself, Collins comes face-to-face with the charismatic yet crooked Alexander Kessel (Luke Bracey), a former US military intelligence officer intent on carrying out an unthinkable plan. With only minutes on the clock, Collins must utilize her years of tactical training and military expertise to determine who she can trust and stop Kessel and his covert mercenaries from completing their twisted and terrible mission.

Directed and co-written by Matthew Reilly with Stuart Beattie, Interceptor is executive produced by Chris Hemsworth, Christopher Mapp, Robert Slaviero, Kathy Morgan, and Peter Graves. Michael Boughen, Matthew Street, and Stuart Beattie produce.

Starring alongside Pataky is Luke Bracey, Aaron Glenane, Mayen Mehta, Rhys Muldoon, Belinda Jombwe, Marcus Johnson, Colin Friels, and Zoe Carides.

Pataky takes center stage in the new Interceptor trailer, and she’s not afraid to show off her acrobatic and hand-to-hand combat skills. At one point in the trailer, she appears to lose the use of her left arm. Do you think that’s going to stop her? Nope. She duct tapes that business and keeps going. She’s like a militant Energizer bunny out for blood. Terrorists beware. You messed with the wrong Captain.

In addition to the Interceptor trailer, Netflix also released key art for the upcoming action film, which you can check out below.

Interceptor hits Netflix on June 3, 2022.
