Well here’s a pleasant surprise of sorts. Way the hell back in February of ’12, we let you know that Mr. Renny Harlin was set to tackle a “dead mountain hiker mystery” that, at the time, was untitled. Based on a harrowing true tale, IMDB says the flick is still unnamed, but thanks to Kino Gallery, we have an international one-sheet for what’s being dubbed THE DYATLOVE PASS INCIDENT. Clomp through the blood dappled snowfall below!

Written by Vikram Weet:

The Dyatlove Pass Incident follows a group of students on a trek to investigate the true life mystery of nine Russian skiers who befell an unexplained death while skiing in the Russian mountains in 1959. To this day, their deaths have been one of the most bizarre unsolved mysteries of the 20th century.

Sounds pretty damn rad to me, especially given the true story angle (just google the incident to see the brutal real images) and the fact Harlin is directing. Richard Reid, Matt Stokoe, Holly Goss and Luke Albright are set to play the embattled hikers.

More on THE DYATLOVE PASS INCIDENT when we hear it.
