There is something about Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart in ADVENTURELAND. The twosome have a wonderful chemistry that really takes the film to a different level. While Kristen is best known for bringing Bella Swan to life in TWILIGHT, her most interesting work for me includes her wonderful performance in INTO THE WILD. While Jesse has received critical acclaim for his performance in THE SQUID AND THE WHALE, among others.
The two of them spoke about creating these characters that are close to autobiographical for their director, Greg Motolla. They also spoke highly of the film and about working with Greg. Of course that is what you’d expect at a junket, very rarely will an actor admit to not liking the film, but there was an honesty in what they had to say. And it really is a great vehicle for both of them so that is no big surprise.
And yes, Kristen spoke about working with a new director on NEW MOON. While I didn’t like TWILIGHT, I am curious as to what Chris Weitz will bring to the further adventures of Bella and Edward. While I’m not sure what will be in store for the romantic vampire fantasy, I do know that both Kristen and Jesse are terrific in ADVENTURELAND and highly recommend you check it out starting today.
