Int’l Mummy poster

Generally speaking, international posters kick the crap out of domestically released posters any day of the week. They’re allowed to push the envelope, and try things that are more “out of the box” than they’re able to get away with here in North America. Which is why this poster for THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR is so disappointing. Let’s face it… this poster sucks!

When will people learn that “floating head” posters are so 90s… get with it! Do something different for a change! Seeing the heads of Brendan Fraser, Mario Bello, and Jet Li don’t make me want to see this more than seeing, say, some actual mummy action (I suppose there are a few in the bottom right-hand corner) like we saw with the film’s teaser poster.

So while I’m disappointed in this crap being passed off as a poster, it should make me happy to report that, for once, the domestic poster is BETTER than the international poster. Hooray for THE TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR! Let’s just hope the actual movie doesn’t feel as old and tired as this poster does. Go ahead and click HERE to check out an even bigger version of this piece of poop and get ready for THE MUMMY 3 in theaters August 1st.
