WARNING: Potential DARK KNIGHT RISES spoilers within.

A rumor swirling around Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES – well, one of the rumors – is that Liam Neeson’s character from BATMAN BEGINS, Ra’s al Ghul, will make some kind of cameo appearance in the superhero flick. Today brings some clarification on the matter… if the definition of “clarification” is “further confusion”.

Showbiz Spy caught up with Mr. Neeson himself recently and asked the thespian if he was indeed set to appear in the third and final of Nolan’s BATMAN flicks. Here’s what the actor said:

“I can tell you nothing about Dark Knight Rises, seriously…I was on set for maybe an hour-and-a-half and the director didn’t tell me anything of what it’s about… So, I’m being very honest when I say I have no idea what’s going to happen.”

Talk about vague. You know Nolan is a cagey director when even his actors don’t know what’s going on in the film they’re in. Or maybe Neeson’s just such a pro that he’s decided to play ignorant on the whole matter….

Let us know what you’re expecting from Neeson in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES below.
